I started from sorrow, confusion, and dysfunction, but I held onto a passion I couldn't let go of. That seed is now manifesting throughout my life.

About the Book

A Multitalented Creator Who Refused to Give Up

I am a multitalented creator, poet, and storyteller, and The Bounce Back is my debut book, sharing my powerful real-life journey from childhood to adulthood. I wrote this book to inspire millions around the world, letting them know that despite your circumstances and hardships, there is still hope. You don't have to give up so easily. Perseverance will build your character to fight through all the sorrow and trouble you deal with in everyday life. I also write poetry and short stories, and I'm working on additional books for the near future.

The story I am illustrating to the world is that we all never get dealt a perfect hand or an easy hand in life. Some people get a royal flush, others get four of a kind, but everyone still has to find their way to maintain their success. Many start poor and overcome the mindset of poverty; some start rich and become very wealthy; some start in the middle and still struggle to become even better. Life is not guaranteed to be easy, and things are not just given to you freely. In this world, you have to work hard for everything, no matter what level you start at.

I started from sorrow, confusion, and dysfunction in a challenging environment with many distractions. My childhood was filled with hardship at a young age, but I still managed not to give up. I held onto a passion I couldn't let go of and believed I would get through anything in life, no matter how hard things became. I kept dreaming about my heart's desire, and that seed is now manifesting throughout my life. My message to people is simple: the key to life is not rushing, but taking your time and becoming as consistent as you can every day.

My greatest desire is to influence people, help people, and speak to all ages and backgrounds. I want to bring unity to a world that is so divided and encourage others to push through any storm that threatens to make them give up. The future is built every day, because what you do in the present leads you to the future. The seeds you sow today give you another opportunity at life tomorrow, with open doors you never experienced before. I want the whole world to know that anything is possible through God, and I mean that with my whole heart.

I hope you find inspiration in my story, from my childhood through to my adult life. I want you to relate and believe that you can conquer anything in this world and become anything your heart yearns for. It's possible — you just have to pursue your goals without giving up or giving in to failure. Failure will always be around, but it won't hurt you; it will teach you life lessons, make you stronger, and help others overcome what's too hard for them.

I currently reside in Albany, New York, where I continue to write, work, and rebuild my relationship with my son, Jahlon. My story is still unfolding, and I invite you to believe, as I do, that the best is yet to come.
